Just got off work. We've been having storms on an off today as residuals from the tropical depression. It'll rain like gangbusters for a few minutes and then be sunny as hell, repeat ad nausium. Anyway, as I left work with C the whole parking lot was thick with fog. It was like pea soup fog. Now I've seen fog in river valleys before, but being from the mountains, it's not something I've dealt with much. This was like walking through a snow bank it was so thick. All the streetlights were like glowing islands in the dark. Very creepy and atmospheric if you know what I mean. Then a block from my apartment, it all just disappeared. Crazy.

Fog like that might be dangerous to drive in, but it's also spookily cool and exciting, isn't it?

I just ran across those cat cam pictures yesterday! The secret life it reveals is richer than you would think, especially the palling around (or at least associating) with other cats!

(Are they conspiring against us?)
