29 and still kickin'

Oh you know, nothing much. Got up. Got dressed. Enjoyed the pressies from my mom. Messed around, started some lunch. And then...I almost burnt the house down. *facepalm* It's not that I'm a bad cook. I just get distracted easily. Oh well, hot dogs are bad for you anyway. *eats pasta salad leftovers from dinner last night*
I am such a dumb ass. I even had the door closed to my room, so I didn't smell any smoke until the smoke alarms went off. Oh well, I suppose they needed checking. Thankfully, the only thing harmed was the ill fated hot dogs. We will miss you wieners with your beefy goodness.
So anyway presents. Mom bought me a really pretty silver cross necklace. It's one of those that has the sash on it like an Easter cross, only the sash is made of lots of little CZ stones. Nothing expensive, but very pretty. I love silver jewelry and unique looking crosses. I have a nice celtic one and a prayer box chunky one that's like a choker. She also got me a little silver jeans charm thing thats cute. I've hung it on my purse for now.
I hoping to get some writing done today. It's warmed up a bit after all that snow, which is nice. I think weather has a greater effect on our moods than we think. I always feel better on warm sunny days. I know that when dad was sick he always had worse days when it was cloudy and rainy. Maybe I've just got a bit of cabin fever from being stuck at the house because of the snow.
